An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a full health check of a property's wiring, from the consumer unit to the furthest socket. A lot of our report work is for Bristol landlords meeting their legal duties and for people buying or selling a home across the city, from the Victorian terraces of Bedminster and Bishopston to the post-war estates of the south of Bristol.
Every observation is coded and explained in plain English, with the formal report plus a simple summary of what's safe, what needs attention and what can wait. Reports are issued to the current BS7671 wiring regulations, and if anything needs putting right we quote it as a clear fixed price and certify the remedial work.

Your questions, answered
How much does an EICR cost in Bristol?
It depends on the size of the property and the number of circuits. Landlord and multi-property rates are agreed up front, with a clear price before we book you in.
How often do I need an EICR?
Rented homes need one at least every five years or at a change of tenancy. For your own home, every ten years is the usual guide, sooner for older installations.
What if the report is unsatisfactory?
It just means one or more items need attention. We explain exactly what they are in plain English and give you a fixed price to put them right.
